Student Shooting during my last course. As always I was very tight in time and had like ten minutes to make and switch the light and taking the picture. In my final and small selection, there are two students who impress with their personality and presence.
After approximately three years, several lockdowns here and there because of the worldwide pandemic we finally printed our Publication “The next School”, designed by Jonas Voegeli and Claudio Gasser. I am very proud of the result and as well that many students were able to travel to Israel for the first time and came back with very intensive impressions.

In collaboration with the Design Department of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, the Visual Communication Department of the ZHdK organised the workshop “The Next School” — a format to promote cultural exchange between students of the participating universities and a broad public — both in Zurich and in Jerusalem in autum 2019. In the international workshops, accompanied by lecturers from the ZHdK and external Swiss designers, the students of the fourth year of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and the third semester of the ZHdK jointly developed a visuals commentary on key titles around the vocable NEXT in within four days, which culminated in a final exhibition in Jerusalem and this subsequently developed printed product.
Since I took a two-week family vacation with priority on relaxation, the selection of the resulting pictures is relatively manageable. It was definitely an experience that prepared me for India and I fell in love with the wonderful country of Sri Lanka and its people. Mission accomplished after two intensive days in the jury to select the 100 most beautiful Swiss annual reports of 2021. It was once again an honor and pleasure to discuss with these twelve other highly professional judges from the design world.
